Quadra-Fire Pellet Stoves
There were around 500 wood stove manufacturers around in the USA by1985, almost all of them stopped making stoves rather than adapt to the more stringent regulations of the Clean Air Act. Most of those companies that remained turned to catalytic combustion as a solution. But Alan Trusler and Dan Henry who founded the company now called Quadra-Fire chose instead to look at wood burning in an entirely new way.
They spent two years researching and developing the Quadra Brand system which was patented that burns and then reburns agses in four different zones within the firebox, this technology set new standards for clean, fuel efficient heating with wood because it is non-catalytic, the system does not degrade in performance over time.
